Golden Rule: Shoe-to-Pants Ratio
Don't ruin a pair of ā¬200 sneakers with skinny jeans from 2016. The rule for 2026 is clear:
- Chunky sneakers (Jordan 4, Balenciaga): They need open-hem (straight-leg) or wide-legged cargo pants. If the pants are narrow, you'll look like a clown in big shoes.
- "Low" sneakers (Dunk, Samba, Gazelle): They work best with pants that bunch up at the ankle ( Stacked ) or with Jorts in summer.
